What is renault r29?

The Renault R29 was a Formula One racing car designed by the Renault F1 team for the 2009 season. It was driven by Fernando Alonso and Nelson Piquet Jr. The car featured a striking yellow and black livery with a shark-fin engine cover.

The R29 had a double-decker diffuser and a Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS), which was new to Formula One in 2009. The car was powered by a Renault RS27 engine and used Bridgestone tyres.

The car had a difficult season with reliability issues and a lack of performance compared to the leading teams. Alonso managed to secure two podium finishes, including a second-place finish at the Singapore Grand Prix, but the team finished only eighth in the Constructors' Championship.

The R29 was replaced by the Renault R30 in 2010.
